We recently found that the gold(I)-catalyzed intermolecular (4 þ 2) cycloaddition of allenamides and acyclic dienes had been successfully accomplished before: Faustino, H.; L opez, F.; Castedo, L.; Mascare~ nas J. L. Chem. Sci., 2011, 2, 633637. This work is highly relevant to our research and should have been cited in our paper. There are other research works on intermolecular [2 þ 2] cycloaddition reaction: (a) Gulias, M.; Collado, A.; Trillo, B.; L opez, F.; O~ nate, E.; Esteruelas, M. A.; Mascare~ nas, J. L. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2011, 133, 7660. (b) Kimura, M.; Horino, Y.; Wakamiya, Y.; Okajima, T.; Tamaru, Y. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1997, 119, 10869. And there are some reviews on gold-catalyzed cycloaddition and allenamide: (a) L opez, F.; Mascare~ nas, J. L. Beilstein J. Org. Chem. 2011, 7, 1075. (b) Wei, L.-L.; Xiong, H.; Hsung, R. P. Acc. Chem. Res. 2003, 36, 773. These literature references should also have been cited. There are also some typing errors: “alleneamide(s)” should be revised to “allenamide(s)”.
