FORMER ROYAL HUNTING LODGE NOW PAPER LABORATORY
Thesc photographs show one of the oldcst, il not thc oldcst, building in the world that is a t present uscd as a chcmical laboratory. I t is "La Grande Zstradc" at Marignane, Bouches-du-RhBne, France, erected in the 13th Century as a fortified hunting-box for the Grand Seigneurs of Provcnce, and later occupied by Mirabeau. It is supposed to be the oldest occupied building in Provenee. At present i t is a paper-making laboratory of an American chemist, William A. Hall.
