The polyethylene glycols are used as: Plasticizers—For paper, cellulose compounds, proteins, resine. Intermediates—For resins, plasticizers, fatty acid esters. Lubricanls—Where water-solubility of lubricant is desirable. Humectants—In stamp pad and "steam-set" inks, paper, and other cellulosic products. Mutual solvents—For dyes, drugs, essential oils.
