Reilly Crosslinked Poly (4-vinylpyridine) R8050 is insoluble in all solvents including acids and bases, because it's crosslinked. R8050 can function as an acid scavenger for acylations and other acid-generating reactions, or as a replacement for pyridine, triethylamine, etc., in many applications. Plus, R8050 is odorless, recoverable by simple filteration and reusable after regeneration with caustic soda or ammonia. R8050 remains stable for many cycles and is noncontaminating to products and waste streams.
