The GHM detects and gives chromatographic details of hydrocarbons in sediments.
The GHM can be used to detect and differentiate between hydrocarbons in oil shows, reservoirs, source rocks and drilling mud additives.
In less than an hour! The GHM uses just milligrams of whole rock. It represents a unique tool for acquisition of data on the C1-C40 hydro carbons of pyrolysis products and bitumens.
Few manual opera tions are necessary since thermal extrac tion, pyrolysis-gas chromatography and data handling are all controlled by an IBM compatible computer.
The GHM comes in two versions, a laboratory model which can be connected to any chromatography data system, and a self contained rig version which only requires helium and liquid nitrogen supplies. The Geofina Hydrocarbon Meter (GHM) is manufactured in Norway by Geolab Nor.
