Milos Novotny is a professor of chemistry at Indiana University. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Brno, in Czechoslovakia (1965) and has been a faculty member of Indiana University since 1971. Novotny's interests include both GC and LC combined with spectroscopic methods and especially their applications in biomedical and environmental research. He is among the pioneers of microcolumn LC and capillary SFC. He has received many honors, including the 1986 ACS Award in Chromatography.
