With this SAFE HEAT...

Your costly chemicals are protected against charring on flask walls When chemicals boil out of a flask during distillation, excessive heat on the dry sides of the flask may char and destroy chemicals that are left. For this reason, Glas-Col Heating Mantles are carefully made with greater distances between resistance wires on the side of the mantle, and therefore, with less heat applied higher up the flask. Even heat distribution from the resistance wires is assured by layers of glass cloth which prevent hot bands on the flask. This is especially important for distillations carried out in vacuum, when uneven heating might cause the flask to collapse under atmospheric pressure. A complete line of Glas-Col Heating Mantles is available in standard sizes and shapes for every purpose.Write for Bulletin 3; it describes the mantles which have become the standard of the industry.
