10th ANNIVERSARY In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable, you are invited to a free research symposium:

Green Chemistry Makes a Difference: Innovations Leading to a More Sustainable Pharmaceutical Industry April 16, 2015 F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Basel, Switzerland Industry, academic and student researchers are invited to join members of the ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable for a day dedicated to advances in green chemistry and engineering for the pharmaceutical sector. Symposium presenters include: Prof. Katalin Barta, University of Groningen “Sustainable catalysis using earth abundant metals” Prof. Uwe Bornscheuer, University of Greifswald “Enzyme discovery, engineering and application in biocatalysis” Prof. Janine Cossy, ESPCI Paris “Synthesis of heterocycles cyclizations and coupling reactions without Palladium”

Prof. Benjamin List, MPI Mülheim “Asymmetric counteranion directed catalysis (ACDC): A general approach to enantioselective synthesis” Prof. Michael North, University of York “Carbonates as green solvents” Prof. Marc Taillefer, ENSC Montpellier “Copper and Iron catalysed N-, O- and C-arylation of nucleophiles: Recent advances and future prospects”

Space is limited.

Registration information can be found at acs.org/gcipharmaroundtable Novartis and Roche participants should register directly at their own company.

Call for Poster Abstracts Submit your research to be presented at the symposium’s poster session. Submit an abstract by February 28 to [email protected] for consideration. Notification of acceptance will be made by March 15. All abstracts must be MS Word format and include a title, author(s), author(s) affiliation with mailing address and email, as well as a maximum 300 word abstract. Limited space is available and decisions may be made on a rollingbasis so early submission is encouraged. Students are also welcome to submit an abstract for consideration.
