This septum has a heart of soft resilient silicone rubber that is bonded between two layers of hard silicone rubber. This gives you a septum with temperature stability, long life, and leak tightness. The soft layer quickly seals when the needle is withdrawn, preventing blow-back of sample. The two outside layers provide high temperature resistance for mechanical stability. If silicone rubber may react with, contaminate, oreven absorb part of your sample, you may obtain the same septum with an inert Teflon* coating on one side. It's called the Tefseal. Both septums are pre-cut to 1 9 different diameters and are available from authorized dealers or Hamilton Company, P.O. Box 307, Whittier, Calif. 90608. Repeatable Precision: Hamilton's Tefseal
