An interior surface of nickel, hacked by A S M E quality steel—thus Lukens Nickel-Glad Steel gives this crystallizer and separator t h e protection against concentrated salt brine provided b y solid nickel, but at the lower cost oiclad steel. T h e product is safeguarded against metallic contamination and equipment is assured of long life with low upkeep. If stainless steel, lnconel or Monel offers the protection you require, these corrosion - resistant metals are also available as Lukens Glad Steels. A standard cladding of 10% or 2 0 % of total plate thickness suits most applications. T h e b o n d between clad surface and backing plate is permanent, the cladding uniformly thick. Lukens Glad Steels now come with the Sodium Hydride Finish, in plate sizes up t o 178" wide or 4 5 6 " long. Specify this finish where you want an extra smooth, easy-to-keep-clean surface.
