Used for hydrogenation and methanation. Green tablets containing 4 4 % Ni present as hydrate mounted on kieselguhr. This catalyst must be reduced before use. ABD 75-85#/cu.ft. Strength 11-17#

An extruded hydrogenation catalyst supported on kieselguhr, active but stable and not pyrophoric as shipped, containing 2 8 % nickel. ABD 45#/cu.ft. SA 168 m 2 /g Strength 10# PV 0.53 cc/g

Ni-0914R3/4" Used in gas reforming. A gray ring containing 1.5% nickel present as oxide mounted on inert, aluminasilica. ABD 6 8 # / c u . ft. SA 1 m 2 /g Ni-lOOOP Used for batch process hydrogenations in low to moderate temperature ranges. This catalyst containing about 5 0 % nickel and 5 0 % aluminum, is inactive as supplied but is easily activated by a caustic leaching treatment. This is the world renowned Rufert® Nickel'Catalyst Flakes. Used principally in hydrogenation of fatty oils and fatty acids. Ni-5000 F is also effective for hydrogenation of methyl esters, tall oils, fatty nitrogen compounds, etc.
