The equilibrium constant for the complex is Jcl/lr2 li3 is the first-ordcr rate constant for the disproportionation of the cerium(1V)-glycerol complex, and k is the observed rate constant for the disappearance of Ce(1V). Irom the graph (Fig. 1) of l/lc us. l/[glycerol], the Constants K and 1i3 were calculated to be 20.0 moles-' and 0.83 mine-', respectively. = K,
