Activities of this group will include p u b lication of a b s t r a c t s of all articles a p pearing in 141 Soviet technical journals-, translations of i m p o r t a n t sections of t h e Soviet a b s t r a c t journal, Referativn v y Zhurnal, and a semi-monthly review of various areas of Soviet Science compiled b y t h e Central Intelligence Agency. T h e C I A publication is called Scientific Information R e p o r t . Subscriptions are available for t h e a b s t r a c t s of the Soviet journals a n d for the C I A publication. Sections of the R e f e r a t i v n v y Zhurnal will be sold on a single issue basis at present. Translations of articles and books will also be m a d e . T h e O T S material is received from G o v e r n m e n t sources, principally intelligence agencies. Other sources will be utilized" in t h e future. At present O T S estimates there will be 50,000 a b s t r a c t s and 10,000 complete a b s t r a c t s each year.
