W e thought about phoning you to offer our thanks, and to wish you a wonderful Holiday Season. But its hard to make 12,769 phone calls. We thought about sending you a greeting card. But 12,769 cards... Then we decided that since everybody likes seeing his or her name in C&EN, we would buy enough space to list everyone's name. Twelve pages! Wow. Then we asked ourselves: What sort of person donates precious time to help children, parents, teachers, journalists and legislators gain a better understanding of chemistry? And we knew for sure you'd want the money spent on programs and materials that support your outreach efforts. So we're using this page to say thanks-and to wish you and your 12,768 fellow volunteers
