that

will not crystallize and is violently hydrophobic The product is dimer acid. The unique properties of non-crystallization and extreme hydrophobicity can be built into a wide number of products either with the straight dimers or with their simple derivatives. Crystallization inhibitors, low temperature plasticizers are certainly two indicated applications. It is also interesting to know that dimers are a major raw material in a newly patented film-former that, when spread on bodies of water, greatly reduces evaporation. If you would like to discuss your application we have the technically qualified people available to work with you . . . in strictest confidence, of course.
