HIS manifold carries butane, propane, and other light hydrocarbons from underground storage. It is equipped with Cameron Non-lubricated LiftPlug Valves with Hycar-coated seats t o provide a bubble-tight shut-off, and to avoid the maintenance required by conventional valves in this difficult service. T h e Hycar nitrile rubber coating on the seats of these valves provides the necessary resiliency, yet shows n o swelling o r dimensional changes despite constant exposure to a variety o f hydrocarbons. Temperature range for these Hycar-equipped valves is minus 40° t o 225°F. Hycar rubber is a star performer in oil a n d gas service. I t takes heat and pressure i n stride, has out-
