I&EC Research Appoints Newest Associate Editor

P

rofessor Spiro Alexandratos (Hunter College, CUNY) has completed almost 22 years of service as an Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research Associate Editor and has rotated off our team. Over the course of his tenure, Spiro made important contributions to the journal and handled at least 5000 manuscripts, primarily in our Applied Chemistry and Separations topical sections. Since he handled several of my own submissions from earlier in my career, I know first-hand that Spiro served both authors and the journal well. With this Editorial, I am pleased to introduce Dr. Tina Nenoff as our newest Associate Editor. Tina is a Senior Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. She has expertise in inorganic chemistry and materials with applications in separations, catalysis, and reaction engineering related to energy and the environment. These are areas in which submission pressure at I&EC Research remains high, so Tina’s joining the team will help us keep pace. Tina has published over 140 research articles, including a highly cited review on membranes for hydrogen separation.1 Although there are changes on the editorial team from time to time, the mission of I&EC Research remains unchanged: We seek to publish innovative research of general interest to a broad chemical engineering and applied chemistry audience. We consider it a privilege when you entrust your manuscripts to I&EC Research, which is the oldest, largest, and most-cited general chemical engineering journal in the world.
