Improved water repellency with a new Behenamide T h e customary stearamides for textile water-rn-oofing for mulas have rpresented t w o serious problems . . . poor color a n d poor color stability. Because of u n i q u e fatty acid produc ing facilities a n d versatile amide processing, H u m K o was able to p r o d u c e a stearamide ( K E M S T R E N E A M I D E S) with superior color a n d improved water repelling character istics. N o w H u m K o has developed a n e w Behenamide ( K E M S T R E N E A M I D E B) which has retained all the advantages of t h e H u m K o stearamide, plus dramatically

improved initial and continuing water repellency. This advancement in textile water repellency suggests t h e same principles can apply in formulations for insolubilized paper coatings. K E M S T R E N E AMIDE S and K E M S T R E N E AMIDE Β are two of a series of new free-flowing p o w d e r e d amides whose physical form may suggest processing or new prod u c t advantages to other amide consumers. Samples are available. Call or write u s . . . w e would like to work with you.
