THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY DETECTOR FOR GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY As an analytical tool, gas chromatography provides a rapid analysis of multi-component systems in minutes. However, selection of the proper column and detector for the analysis before you begin is vitally important. Industrial Instruments has minimized this problem by offering ONE general purpose, ultra-sensitive detector that combines SEVEN of the most desirable features for gas chromatography. The Model TBS-11 Therma Bridge® Gas Chromatography Cell offers : 1. Large block mass for thermal stability. 2. Small cavity volume for precise measurement of rapidly eluted components. 3. Operation at any temperature to 375°C without loss of sensitivity. 4. Especially fine, high strength filaments for rapid response and high signal-to-noise ratio. 5. Full bridge measuring circuit for twice the sensitivity

of two filament detectors. 6. Choice of tungsten, platinum, or thermistor sensors. 7. A respectably low price. Therma Bridge® Power Supply. For maximum sensitivity, durability and reliability in detector operation a regulated flow of power is MODEL TBS-11 mandatory. The Model TBP2 Therma Bridge® Power Supply isa transistorized, voltage regulated unit, incorporating precision components in highly refined circuits and ideally suited for gas chromatography analysis. The unit is designed for 100-130 or 215-245 VAC, 50-60 CPS operation, with output voltages of 20, 30, 40 VDC. Output current is 50-500 m A DC and voltage regulation to ±0.25 %. Output ripple is less than one mV DC with temperature regulation to better than 0.05 r/o C°.

The Model TBA-2100 Therma Bridge® Analyzer incorporates such precision components as a high sensitivity detector, a transistorized, voltage regulated power supply (output ripple less than ±0.25% over the range 30-300 MA DC), zero set and span adjustment, flowmeters with 3V2" scales and precision needle valves, and an illuminated meter with a 4" scale for easy reading of gas composition. A complete selection of accessories, such as diaphragm pumps, driers and strippers, multi-turn calibration controls, and meter alarm contacts are available to meet special requirements. Typical applications include: Acetone in Air, Air in Helium, Argon or Helium in Air, Carbon Dioxide in Air or Nitrogen, Ethylene Oxide in Air, Fréons in Air, Hydrocarbons in Air, Hydrogen in Methane, Hydrogen in Air or Nitrogen, Sulphur Dioxide in Air.

The expanded and improved line of thermal conductivity cells includes the Model TBS-11 detector for high sensitivity and fast response applications ; the Model TBS-12 detector for applications where wide excursions in sample temperature, pressure or flow are encountered ; and the Model TBS-14 single pass, sealed reference detector for use when base gas composition is fixed. All detectors are available in standard brass, aluminum or stainless steel blocks with tungsten, platinum or thermistor sensors.
