T h e Ajax Electrothermic Corporation is preparing t o build a large plant and office building on a 25-acre t r a c t of land in Ewing Township, New Jersey, in the near future. Plans call for t h e erection of a factory 200 ft. by 60 ft. together with a two-floor office building, containing about 4000 square feet of floor space. This company manufactures high frequency induction furnaces, a unique process developed after years of experimenting on t h e p a r t of Dr. E . F. An improved line of vapor-proof units, composed of a mini­ m u m number of p a r t s consisting of a globe, holder, socket, a n d gasket, a n d which prevent dangerous dusts or vapors from reaching t h e lamp bulb, h a s just been designed by the Westinghouse Electric a n d Manufacturing Company. This new line consists essentially of cast-iron hoods, housing front-connected sockets, vapor proof globes, and suitable reflectors.
