Abstract: This study investigates the effect of grain size and water content on the methane

10

(CH4) excess sorption capacity of Jurassic Kimmeridge Clay from the UK. Methane sorption

11

isotherms were measured at 45 °C and pressures up to 25 MPa on dry and moist samples with

12

particle sizes of
