L.; Hill, J. E.; Redman, J. A.; Elimelech, M. Influence of Growth Phase on Adhesion Kinetics of Escherichia coli D21g. Appl. Environ. Microbiol. 2005, 71 (6), 3093-3099). Figures 1, 2, and 4 in the ES&T paper were identical data from the Appl. Environ. Microbiol. article (Figures 2, 3, and 1), and Table 1 in both articles was substantially similar. The Applied and Environmental Microbiology article should have been cited and permission should have been requested to use the figures and table in the Environmental Science and Technology paper.
