INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCEMENT O F MEDICAL COMMUNICATION The Institute f o r Advancement of Medical Communication, with h e a d q u a r t e r s in New York City, has f o r m e d a Scientific Council t o guide i t s p r o g r a m of r e s e a r c h , development, and training aimed at improving communication among biomedical s c i e n t i s t s and health s c i e n c e p r a c t i t i o n e r s . The Council c o n s i s t s of 20 s c i e n t i s t s and e d u c a t o r s , who r e p r e s e n t many of the disciplines and s p e c i a l t i e s contributing t o , and u s i n g , the expanding pool of biomedical information. D r . R i c h a r d H. O r r , D i r e c t o r , a l s o announces the opening of a Washington Branch a t 1028 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Washington, D. C., headed by I s a a c D. Welt, Ph.D., Associate D i r e c t o r of the National R e s e a r c h Council, Institute. D r .
