ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY
Classes on vapor phase chromato graphic techniques, and low and high temperature distillation will be given in four two-week courses during 1957-58 by Podbielniak Institute. The intensive training periods are to cover theory and practical application, and will be presented by a regular teaching staff plus guest lecturers. En rôlées may combine a single week of chromatography with one of distillation, or may take a two-week course exclusively in vapor phase chromatography. The school brochure, course outlines, and application blanks are obtainable from Podbielniak Institute, 341 East Ohio St.. Chicago 11, 111.
Several changes have been made in the program of the Division of Analytical Chemistry at the ACS meeting to be held in New York, Sept. 8 to 13. These changes occurred after the program was printed in the August issue (page 25 A). The changes are as follows: A. C. Nawakowski will present a paper "Quantitative Analysis of Tri(nonylated phenyl) Phosphite (Polygard) in Synthetic Rubber. This will be the last paper on the general session, Monday, Sept. 9. Papers by Eliot Butler, Dennis Peters, and Ε. Η. Swift, scheduled for the general session on Tuesday after noon and that of A. M. Feibush, Keith Rowley, and Louis Gordon, scheduled for the general session on Wednesday morning will be switched. Harry Baum will preside at the gen eral session on Tuesday afternoon instead of Ε. Η. Swift. The complete program of the ACS meeting appears in the Aug. 5 issue of Chemical and Engineering News.
