Chemical Education Today
Report
JCE at NSTA 2004 Atlanta NSTA 2004—A Peach of a Convention JCE staff Diana Mason, Erica Jacobsen, Kevin Cunningham, Faith Yarberry, and Christina Forsbach were on hand April 1–4 at the NSTA 2004 National Convention in Atlanta to speak to attendees about the benefits of becoming a Journal subscriber. We had the opportunity to speak with several hundred educators as they stopped by the JCE booth on their trek through the multiple football-field-sized exhibit hall. NSTA was one of the first chances to see (and purchase!) JCE’s most recent reprint, “The Chemical Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” (http://www.jce.divched.org/ JCEBooks/SherlockHolmes.html ). Many teachers were happy to see a collection of chemistry- and forensics-based stories to share with students who are hooked on CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) television programs. Thank you to the volunteers who spent time at the booth sharing information about the Journal. These included James Cherry, Julie Cunningham, Al Hazari, and George Sellers.
