Its success in a large m e a s u r e d e p e n d s on the total subscription revenue recen ed_ T h e n e w journal is t h e outgrowth of the Chemical and ^n^necriTjc Data Series started three years ago in an eflort to relieve t h e o x m ms* pressure o n industrial and Engineering Chemistry, a n d at t h e s-ame time, to o p e n a n e w logical m e d i u m for dissemination of ÎWTI brouc t y p e s of reference papers. T h e first includes articles consisting primarily of data dhfcarâiic! t h r o u g h k n o w n c o n c e p t s or b y kno\\ii m e t h o d s or extension* of saactb data: phase equilibria, molecular transport, therm odx-namics. The s e c o n d embraces those articles which list physical properties a* «emxiis in t h e m s e l v e s , or as aids to other studies or evaluation: phy^dcal properties, evaluation of c o m p o u n d s and materials. This present s c o p e and p o l i c y must b e thought of as flexible. T h e journal should W feiaâlh to fit the c h a n g i n g n e e d s a n d desires of a large segment of irese-amcSa chemists and research chemical engineers.
