Computer Techniques and Optimization is a new section of the journal Analytica Chimica Acta published by Elsevier Scientific Publishing Co. This quarterly section, to commence publication in March 1977, is devoted to transmission of information on new developments and advances in chemical analysis by the application of computer techniques. Papers are invited on topics such as computer acquisition, processing, and evaluation of data; computer methods for the interpretation of analytical data; storage and retrieval systems; optimization procedures and their application; and automated analysis. T h e language of the journal is English, although papers may also be submitted in French or German. T h e subscription rate for the first volume (four issues) is $49.75.
