Chromosorb® 104 for gas analysis Gas Chromatograph: Varían Aerograph 90-P3

Column: 1.5-meter x 4-mm I. D. glass 80/100 Mesh Chromosorb 104 Column Temperature: 140°C isothermal Detector: TC Cell, 200°C and 175 ma Flow:

Portable X-ray instrument for quantitative elemental analysis, Model 700 XRF analyzer, uses a small radioisotope X-ray source which causes atoms of the elements to emit their own X-rays. Emitted X-rays are counted and read out on a lighted digital display. Counts displayed are referred to a calibration curve to obtain % concentration by weight of the element. A selection of sources (3) permits the determination of all elements (except gases) with atomic numbers equal to or greater than 20. The instrument weighs 12 lb and may be operated with either the internal rechargeable battery, 115 VAC line power, or an external 12-V auto battery. $3400 to $4100. Separation of oxides of sulfur

Chromosorb 104 is a polyaromatic-type porous resin developed by Johns-Manville for use as chromatographic packing material for gas analysis. Chromosorb 104 is the highest polarity support of the Chromosorb polymer series. It remains stable to 275°C and provides efficient separations of: • Aqueous hydrogen sulfide at low levels • Aqueous ammonia at low levels • Oxides of nitrogen • Oxides of sulfur • Isomeric xylenols • Trace carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide • Nitroparaffins • Alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, acetates and nitriles For more specific information, write for our bulletin FF-189 Johns-Manville, Box 1960, Trenton, New Jersey. Chromosorb 104 is also available in Canada and overseas. Cable: Johnmanvil.

Model 1110 Densometer is a semiportable, noncontacting liquid level and density monitoring and control system. Gamma backscatter is used to compute the density of materials within pipelines or process vessels to within ±0.005 specific gravity unit through intervening steel walls of up to 2 in. and 6 in. of insulation. The instrument can also be used to monitor and control various interfaces. The density range is 0.25 to 5.0 specific gravity units. Options include a digital printer, stripchart recorder, and alarm circuitry. 82750. Computer Measurements, Inc., 1045 W. 135th St., Gardena, Calif. 00247. 213-532-0752 4 20

Large Solid-State Radiation Detectors Large high-resolution Si(Li) detectors, 1250 mm2 by 2- and 3-mm thick are now available for use in high efficiency plnnchet counting and spectroscopy, beta, alpha, and X-ray spectroscopy. Ultrahigh resolution at room temperature is a key feature of this new series: this resolution improves greatly on cooling. Prices are 84000 and up.
