Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data The Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data is a monthly journal devoted to the publication of experimental data and the evaluation and prediction of property values. It is the only American Chemical Society journal primarily concerned with articles containing experimental data on the physical, thermodynamic, and transport properties of well defined materials including complex mixtures of known compositions and systems of environmental and biochemical interest. The scope of the Journal now includes thermophysical properties obtained from quantum chemistry, molecular simulation, and molecular mechanics calculations. Acceptable Manuscripts are: Articles, Short Articles, Correlations, and Reviews. In addition, Comments, Book Reviews, and Additions and Corrections are published. JCED has initiated a series of special issues (Festschrifts) to celebrate eminent researchers in the field of thermodynamics, thermophysical properties and solution equilibria. The first of the series in February 2009 honored Robin H. Stokes. The second, published in May 2009 honored Gerhard M. Schneider, the third to be published in September 2009 will honor Sir William A. Wakeham. JCED intends to publish Festschrifts at the rate of two per year. Q Festchrift to honor Josef M. G. Barthel, University of Regensburg, for his contribution to electrolyte solution theory, experimental and data systematization (April issue 2010. Submission Deadline: April 30, 2010). Q Festschrift to honor Sir John S. Rowlinson, Oxford University, for his contribution to experiment, theory and history of thermodynamics (September issue 2010. Submission Deadline: To be announced). Q Festschrift to honor John M. Prausnitz, UC Berkeley, for contribution to experiment, theory and the application of thermodynamics to industrial practice and processes (April issue 2011. Submission Deadline: October 31, 2010). Guidelines for submission can be found on the journal website at http://pubs.acs.org/page/jceaax/festschrifts.html
