Bromide, Chloride and Iodide determinations are critical in clinical and other laboratories, and in the manufacture of photographic materials and industrial chemicals. For the determination of these halides there are many 'Baker Analyzed' Reagents, each controlled and labelled with the actual lot analysis to assure highest purity.

Halides are routinely determined for diagnostic purposes, and 'Baker \nalyzed 1 Reagents are commended for their suitability.

For example— As α precipitant in gravimetric determinations or as the titrant in the classical Volhard and Mohr methods:

'Baker Analyzed' Silver N i t r a t e with actual assay— 99.7% or higher, and chloride content—0.001% or less. Also available for these titrations: 'Baker Ana lyzed' Ammonium Tliiocvanate and Potassium Chromate. As α halide reference standard: 'Baker Analyzed' Sodium Chloride. Actual assay 99.5% or higher iodide (0.002% max.) and bromide (0.005% max.) are reported separately. Also 'Baker Analyzed' Sodium Bromide and Iodide. High purity assured through the 10 to 16 determinations reported on the label. Analytical,

PHOTOGRAPHIC INDUSTRY

depend on 'Baker Analyzed' Reagents. The Actual Lot Analysis appears on every 'Baker Analyzed' label; the Actual Lot Assay on more than 300.

In the control of sensitive photographic emulsions, the photographic industry uses cBaker Analyzed' Reagents because they meet exacting specifications.
