The "δοΟΟ" Series Model CT-215 is a tube furnace with a range of tempera tures from 2000° to 5500° F. It is designed for use in neutral or reducing atmospheres but may be used for oxi dizing operations by inserting an an nular ceramic muffle of a suitable composition. The work chamber is 2" i.d. x 16" long. To regulate the flow and displacement of protective atmosphere, breather plates are located at each end of the furnace. Heat resistant windows allow a line-of-sight through the tube. Instrument controls, including water and atmosphere gages, are mounted on a front panel, while connections are made through the back. This apparatus for laboratory dialysis and concentration features inter changeable heads which can process up to 12 samples simultaneously. The head of the dialyzer consists of two perforated stainless steel plates sandwiching a membrane sheet. Each cavity is an accessible sample chamber. The head clamps onto the dialysate reservoir and the entire unit rotates. For concentration, the sam ple head is separated from the reser voir and placed directly on the rotary table where a fan assembly performs pervaporative concentration.
