SPEED UP YOUR PAPER

RADIOCHROMATOGRAPHY.

ι a factor of up to six. How? With Nuclear' icago's new Digital Actigraph® III—the ι ! digital/analog paper-strip radiochromaii jraphy system. It's designed for speed and reliable, quantitative data. FAST BETWEEN PEAKS For example, Digital A c t l g r a p h III automat ically s e n s e s l o w - a c t i v i t y areas b e t w e e n peaks. Then it stops counting and speeds up the paper strip and the recorder (up to 325 cm/hour) to the next peak—with no loss in time synchronization. This acceleration Is particularly advantageous for widely-spaced radioactive fronts or for strips that require slow scan-speeds due to their low activity.

New Model 602 eliminates the need for frequent zero adjustment Using Mos Fets at the input, this new Keithley solid state electrometer measures voltage, current, resistance and charge over 73 ranges. It is so stable the only discernible drift is with temperature. And only at a rate less than 150 M V / ° C . The 602 exhibits minimum zero shift from shock, vibration or voltage overloads up to 500 volts. Battery-operated, this versatile giant, operates up to 1500 volts off ground and has battery life of 1000 hours, even when recording ! Fast warm-up time, low 5 χ 10 1 5 ampere offset current and freedom from microphonics make it truly unique ! Call your Keithley man for our technical engineering note. Ask for a free in-plant demonstration, too.

Model 602 • 1 mv f.s. to lOv. with 10" ohms input resistance • 10~14 ampere f.s. to 0.3 amp.

· 100 ohms f.s. to 10" ohms . trj-is to TO4 coulomb · 500-volt overload protection

A C C U R A C Y , TOO D i g i t a l A c t i g r a p h III has a b u i l t - i n d i g i t a l rate-gate and exclusive pulse-stepped drive motors. These features ensure that decelera tion and resumption of counting upon enter ing a peak are v i r t u a l l y instantaneous— essentially no counts are lost. All of w h i c h makes it possible to sense activity peaks with better than 97% accuracy in most cases. PLUS DIGITAL INTEGRATION This new paper-strip radiochromatography system aiso incorporates a fast digital inte grator, which automatically quantitates the activity in each individual peak, A n d it prints out this data with virtually no loss of counts during printout. It'll also print out a running subtotal of the peaks, if desired. HOW A B O U T TLC? Is your interest thin-layer radiochromatog raphy? The Digital A c t i g r a p h III is easily adapted for that kind of work too. Find out more about Digital Actigraph III— the fast system that outperforms all the others.
