Digital Voltmeter Model 3462A virtually eliminates circuit loading errors on high im pedance devices because of the instru ment's near infinite input resistance. The high input resistance, >10 1 0 ohms within 5 % of null on the 1 and 10 volt ranges, makes the voltmeter's ac curacy available for measurements on difficult-to-measure devices. Voltage ranges of Model 3462A are 1, 10, 100, and 1,000 volts full scale, selected manually, automatically, or by remote control. Accuracy is ±0.004% of read ing + 0.0002% of full scale and is specified for 90 days and for a tempera ture range of 20 to 30 °C. The volt meter has a six-digit readout plus a seventh digit for allowed 20% overranging on all ranges. This six-digit resolution results in Ι-μΥ sensitivity on the one volt range. Model PM2421 makes readings as low as 10 microvolts and 10 pico amperes. The operator selects the basic measuring range and then the in strument automatically selects one of three subranges that displays the read ing with best resolution. Appropriate corrections are made automatically in the decimal point placement. Direct current voltage measuring capability spans the range of 10 microvolts to 1000 volts; maximum on ac is 500 volts RMS. The multimeter reads dc and ac current between 10 picoamperes and 1.400 amperes, and resistances from 0.01 ohm to 1400 megohms. Maximum resolution is 10 picoamperes in the 14.00 nanoampere range, and 0.01 ohm in the 14 ohm range. Direct current voltage readings are accurate to 0.1% ± 1 digit, with a maximum resolution of 10 microvolts in the 14.00 millivolt range. Philips Electronic Instruments, 750 S. Fulton Ave., Mount Vernon, Ν. Υ. 10550 423 Clot Time Recorder The Electra 500 automatically per forms all routine coagulation proce dures in which the end point is the de tection of fibrin formation in serum or plasma. When coagulation occurs, change in light transmission is photo metrically sensed, stopping the electric digital timer which is coupled to a pa per tape printer. Results are printed opposite the tube identification num ber. The Electra 500 refrigerates and heats reagent, dispenses it, performs tests, and prints results for up to 50 samples.
