For laboratory situations where isochratic chromatography proves too slow — or is otherwise inadequate — Laboratory Data Control announces the new Gradient Master, a stateLDC's "Gradient Master" of-the-art gradient O p e n s A N e w E r a i n H P L C forming electronic controller. Although the Master is primarily designed to control any two of LDC's ConstaMetric 5000 psi HPLC pumps, it is also capable of controlling pumps offered by other manufacturers. A special interface option is offered for this purpose. Gradient Master offers the analyst an extremely versatile tool for gradient chromatography. Gradient time choice ranges from 1 to 1100 minutes, with a selectable mixed solvent flow rate from 0.1 to 10 ml per minute. Percentage of gradient time and percentage of secondary solvent concentration are continuously displayed for improved analytical control. At the end of a gradient run, the analyst may elect a time delay of up to 60 minutes at final concentration prior to automatic reset. A manual selector switch also permits the user to delay the reset function indefinitely. A HOLD switch permits the gradient run to be stopped at any point and then resumed, at the operator's option, in the same gradient formulation. Nine gradient exponents are operator selectable, four convex, four concave, and linear. (Exponent 0.2-5.0) To prevent unnecessary column shock, the Gradient Master's reset mode follows the reciprocal at the gradient curve, in only one-tenth of the gradient time. See how LDC's Gradient Master can add electronic precision to your HPLC operations — write today for technical details.

Chromatograph The Connection An economical modular approach to system procurement Another "new era" product from Laboratory Data Control is the ConstaMetric Il G, a 5000 psi pump featuring a unique phase-lock loop controller. It delivers a constant, precisely controlled flow at operator-selectable rates from

safety limits are visually displayed. The ConstaMetric II G also has an interface control, providing for automatic shutdown of both pumps in a gradient system. When used in conjunction with the Gradient Master, ConstaMetric II G is the ideal companion for LDC's established ConstaMetric I and II pumps in a gradient HPLC system. With the optional interface unit, the ConstaMetric II G may also be utilized in a gradient mode with pumps from other manufacturers. Detailed specifications are available on request from Laboratory Data Control.
