REFRACTORY SHEET High insulating properties make it ideal for so many uses we can hint at only a few. Use as a thermal jacket on diffusion pumps, insulation around crucibles and beakers, hand grip on casseroles, insulation for small furnaces. Pattern can be cut to fit many sizes and shapes of vessels. In pliable state, it can be cut easily with a knife or scissors. Dries in air to a hard insulating protector. At 500°F, heat transmission is only 0.5 BTU/hr./sq. ft./°F/in. At 2000°F, it is only 1.4.
