Verani - Wayne State University ◘ We are developing five-coordinated complexes capable of enhancing the formation, stabilization, and cycling of phenoxyl radicals. ◘ Similarly we have developed methodology to use coordination complexes as amphiphilic precursors for ordered Langmuir-Blodgett films. ◘ These species are prototypical precursors for responsive films and will become useful in the development of molecule-based devices for information storage. ◘ Ten papers were published acknowledging support form ACS-PRF.
