consider AMOCO RESIN 18 Now available in commercial quantities AMOCO Resin 18 is an alpha methyl styrene poly mer. Light in color with excellent color stability, the resin is highly resistant to acid, alkali, water and grease. It offers exceptional qualities as a c o m p o u n d i n g ingredient in asphalt and vinylasbestos floor tile and in rubber products such as shoe sole stock and electrical insulation, it shows promise in surface coating applications, in molded goods and extrusions, and in adhesives. AMOCO Resin 18 is supplied as a pure resin with a softening point of 290°F. Its prilled form and low molecular weight aids rapid incorporation into formulations. It is compatible with hydrocarbon resins, polystyrene, rubber, chlorinated paraffin and ester plasticizers, and aromatic plasticizer oils.
