There has been a great deal of excitement recently over the use of magnetically oriented phospholipid bilayers (bicelles) for both solution and solid-state NMR spectroscopy.1-4 Here we report nitroxide spin label data from a novel bicelle system which orients in the lower magnetic field of a conventional EPR spectrometer (
