Unsymmetrical Ketones

Armour and Co. has announced a newseries of high molecular weight unsymmetrical ketones. Experimental sample quantities of methyl heptadecyl ketone, methyl undecyl ketone, and methyl heptyl ketone are available. These ketones are made synthetically from fatty acids. It is anticipated that they may find useful applications as chemical intermediates, solvents, lubricants, and plasticizers. 20
