HOW TO SUCCEED AT GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY Model 6 1 6 4 T U n e filter
HYDROX" PURIFIER MODEL 8301
Model 8 3 0 1 Hydrox Purifier
Model 3 1 0 4 Two stage regulator
You know t h a t your gas chromatograph can do t h e job. Your recorder is perfectly m a t c h e d t o t h e instru ment. B u t they don't w o r k alone. Your carrier gas m u s t be pure — and not all gases are necessarily pure. In s o m e cases purity alone is not enough. W e practice good cylinder maintenance in order t o provide purity. A dirty, w e t , or improperly evacuated cylinder can only result in contamination. Special attention t o particular impurities is o f t e n demanded. That's w h y w e have 5 purities of helium, hydrogen and air, as well as 6 purities of argon and 9 of nitrogen. S o m e instruments are so sensitive t h a t extra purification t o remove minute levels o f impurities on-site is required. A proper line filter helps t o ensure purity and decrease back ground noise f o r detectors t h a t are sensitive t o dust and particulate matter. When oxygen or w a t e r vapor may pose a problem a Model 8 3 0 1 Hydrox Purifier can be a valuable accessory. T o calibrate your instrument y o u need an accurate standard . . . and M a t h e s o n o f f e r s both Primary and Certified Standards, or will c u s t o m blend t o your requirements. Use a good regulator like Matheson's 3 1 0 4 — c o n s t a n t pressure, no d i f f u sion — combined w i t h clean metal t u b i n g throughout the s y s t e m . To succeed at gas chromatography, send for our new booklet, GAS MIXTURES, FACTS AND FABLES. W e discuss all this in detail and more.
