FOOD SAFETY INITIATIVE RESEARCH COORDINATOR The Department of Health and Human Services, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), Food Safety Staff, is seeking a Food Safety Initiative (FSI) Research Coordinator, to serve in a developmental capacity and act as the representative for the Food Safety Initiative Lead Scientist on all matters relating to the research programs and activities associated with the National Food Safety Initiative. He/She will be responsible for participating in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the Center research programs and policies to ensure that such programs meet the requirements and intention of the President's Food Safety Initiative. He/She contributes to the planning, expansion, modification, and coordination of a broad Center food safety research program that is concerned with the development, testing, improvement, manufacture, use and regulatory control of food products. The salary is $68,570 to $89,142 per annum. Applicants must possess a degree in food technology, food processing, food chemistry, food microbiology, food toxicology, chemistry, biology or related sciences. The position is located at the FDA headquarters in Washington DC Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
