Molstad, University of Pennsylvania, and local arrangements were handled b y t h e Rhode Island State Student Chapter. T . Stephen Crawford was chairman of t h e local committee. Plant trips were made on both Monday and Tuesday. At a banquet held o n Monday evening, F . Alexander Magoun, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, gave the principal talk. On Tuesday afternoon, talks were given by A. C . Chick and b y Walter G. Whitman. A feature of the meeting was the series of round-table discussions on process and plant development and on plant operation. T h e group

leaders who led t h e discussions were J. J. Healy, Jr., Howard Nason, C. S. Cornstock, J . C . Einan, and R o y Elliott, all of t h e Monsanto Chemical Co.; K. E . Bell, A. C.Lawrence Leather Co.; M . H . Zimmerman, Narragansett Brewing Co.; and J . N . Junkins, of the TVA.
