MENTHANE DIAMINE another t-alkyl amine with steric-controlled reactivity a new member of the Rohm & Haas t-alkyl amine family, is now available in pilot-plant quantities for your research and development activities. Like the other amines in this class, MENTHANE DIAMINE has us amino groups attached t o tertiary carbon atoms. This arrangement provides the amino groups with "steric-controlled"' reactivity which permits aminohydrogen substitution reactions to form secondary amines, but inhibits tertiary amine formation.
