Additions and Corrections Mixed Micelles Formed by Cationic Surfactants and Anionic Hydrophobically Modified Polyelectrolytes Benoıˆt Magny, Ilias Iliopoulos,* Raoul Zana, and Roland Audebert Langmuir 1994, 10, 3180. In a recent paper Hansson and Almgren1 (HA) observed an apparent inconsistency in the data in Table 4 of the above paper (see ref 34 in HA). More precisely the reported values of the aggregation number N did not directly result from the listed values of the fitting parameter A3 and of the surfactant and quencher concentrations. The differences arose from the fact that the listed A3 values were not those corrected for the contribution of the fast decay present in the decay curve of pyrene in the absence of quencher. This effect has probably the same origin as that reported and corrected for by HA.1 However the values of Ns and Nt listed in Table 4 had been calculated using the corrected A3 values. We list below the values of the correction, ∆A3, to be applied to the raw A3 data, column 6 in Table 4, to obtain the corrected values of A3.
