Additions & Corrections 2007, Volume 8 Rahul Bhardwaj and Amar K. Mohanty*: Modification of Brittle Polylactide by Novel Hyperbranched PolymerBased Nanostructures Page 2480. In our article published on the Web on July 3, 2007 (ASAP) and published in the August 2007 issue (Vol. 8, No. 8, pp 2476-2484), we inadvertently misinterpreted the information reported in reference 26 [Mamun, C.K. Langmuir 2005, 21, 240–250] and indicated that the statement “In theory, the cross-linking would increase the Flory-Huggin interaction parameter and thus would aggravate the phase instability” was inferred from this reference. This Langmuir article reveals that the relation of cross-linking and phase stability of cross-linked polymer blends relies on the new entropic interactions. This article also depicts that the fractal dimensions of cross-linked species are responsible for these new entropic interactions. Our text on page 2480, column 1, that reads “The phase stability of a system in which one species is cross-linked is dictated by the entropic interaction. The fractal dimension of these cross-linked HBP would be responsible for new entropic interactions” should be accredited to this reference instead.
