Sarah L. Stoll* Monolayer and Multilayer Films of [Mn12O12(O2CMe)16]. In our recent paper (Stoll, S. L.; Steckel, J. S.; Persky, N. S.; Martinez, C. R.; Barnes, C. L.; Fry, E. A.; Kulkarni, J.; Burgess, J. D; Pacheco, R. B. Nano Lett. 2004, 4, 399402), we were unaware of and failed to cite a recent paper by Cornia et al., ref 1 below, in which the immobilization and STM characterization of Mn-12 clusters on gold surfaces were described. Their paper is the first to describe the binding of these clusters to solid surfaces. In addition, alternative approaches to patterning Mn-12 were reported in refs 2 and 3 (below). References 1.
