ABSTRACT: Image sensor arrays are widely used in digital cameras, smartphones, and bio-robots. However, most commercial image arrays rely on the dichroic prisms or a set of interference filters to distinguish characteristic color spectrum, which significantly increases the cost and fabrication processing complexity. In this work, an ultra-narrow response photodetector with full-width at half-maximum being ~12 nm and specific detectivity over 1011 Jones at 545 nm are successfully achieved in CsPbBr3 polycrystalline films using freeze-drying casting method to adjust the surface-charge recombination. To our best knowledge, this is the narrowest spectrum response for perovskite photodetectors in the visible light waveband. More importantly, a series of narrowband photodetectors are developed to enhance diverse selectivity for target signals covering from blue light to red light via bandgap tuning in CsPbX3 by tailoring the halide component. Finally, an integrated sensing array with CsPbX3 (X=Cl, Br, I) narrowband photodetectors acting as

color recognition cones is constructed, which presents clear color and shape recognition paving the way for commercialization of perovskite photodetector in artificial vision.

In the foreseeable future, the bio-robots are expected to take a vital role in human life, like accompany, work and expedition.1-3 Nevertheless, the realization of these functions strongly relies on response to surrounding, like human visual system sensing the shape, color, and distance for feedback and control. Thus, the electronic eye mimicking human visual system has attracted great attention due to its feasible potential in practical application. In this bioinspired sensing system, the prominent component is the detector geometry. Momentous progress has been achieved by utilizing inorganic Si or InGaAsbased broadband sensing arrays to realize the recognition function for perceived images.4-6 Besides, some novel two dimensional material like MoS2-graphene heterostructure has also been used as a human eye-inspired soft implantable optoelectric device, which successfully stimulates the optic nerves of a rat model in response to the pulsed external light.7 However, to allow response toward a narrow targeted spectrum, dichroic prisms or a set of interference filters are widely used for this commercial stateof-the-art application.8 Unfortunately, these commercial optical filters do not always meet the specific request for characteristic spectral band. Meanwhile, these filters not only increase the photodetector cost and limit pixel density in imaging system,9 but also lose

their functions in the curved circumstances as their interference effect depends heavily on the optical path difference.10, 11

As a result, the development of filter-free narrowband photodetectors (NBPDs) is imperative because of its highly selective response to photons with different wavelength, which is similar to cones in the retina.12,

Recently, lead halide perovskites based

photodetectors have been widely demonstrated with performances rivaling that of traditional inorganic semiconductors like silicon and InGaAs due to the exceptional semiconducting properties including decent charge carrier mobility, high tolerance to traps, and intense light-harvesting capability,14-18 which certainly make them promising candidates

for

high-performance

solar

cells19,

light-emitting

diodes20-23

and

photodetectors.24-26 Especially, these excellent properties have been widely exploited in imaging sensor arrays and laudable attempts have been made. For example, Lee et al. used a unique spin-coating method to achieve a multiplexed image sensor array, whose best resolution can arrive 6350 dpi.27 Nevertheless, only one kind of material can be used during the spin-coating process, it’s hard to take advantage of tunable energy bandgap28
