ANALYSIS...

ADVANTAGES OF • Bridgeport Brass Company uses the above "vapor-cham ber t i p " on "National" graph ite electrodes to obtain very accurate analyses of samples containing mercury. As the electrode heats u p , the mercury in the sample volatilizes in the vapor chamber and rises through the small hole direct ly into the arc flame. T h e result ing analysis is more accurate. Formerly — before use of the vapor chamber — the mercury volatilized so rapidly some of it was lost and did not show up in the analysis.

Why it pays to use "National" Spectroscopic Electrodes They are the purest obtain able. Each shipment contains a "Statement of Purity" which tells your analyst exactly what he is dealing with. He can work fast, accurately and eco nomically. The term "National" is a registered trade-mark of NATIONAL CARBON COMPANY, INC. SPECTROGRAPHIC ANALYSIS • Sensitive to 1/10,000,000 of a gram for some elements • Saves time in analysis • Detects unsuspected elements • Accurate testing is possi ble with very small sample • Provides a permanent record • Differentiates between two elements chemically very similar • Analysis can be made in some cases without destroy ing sample.
