The unique
principles of the centrifugal condenser type still are illus trated above. Rising vapor from the pot condenses on the cooled rotating cylinder. Condensate is then hurled off the condenser surface by centrifugal force and re-vaporized from the heated column. This cycle is repeated many times as the vapor moves up the annular space between the column and condenser, setting up a concentration gradient, with the more volatile com ponents at the top where they are removed. For the first time, equipment of great fractionating ability has been

evolved without introduction of the usual packed column with high impedance to gas or vapor flow. The tremendous industrial potentialities of this new processing tool can only be realized when research chemists have had an opportunity to apply it to their problems. A laboratory unit is now available for research purposes. Inquiries for license arrangements for commercial operation are invited.
