Need uncommon properties? Start with an uncommon comonomer.

M*CH* V-Pyrol monomer—an extremely versatile product that opens the door to literally hundreds of new and exciting polymerizations.

Uncommon—because V-Pyrol® N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone in ternally modifies polymers, adding many of the unusual properties of an equally un common homopolymer— PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone). Imagine making acrylonitrile or PVC copolymers with greater dye receptivity. Vinyl acetates and acrylics with fantastic ad hesion to glass. Making PVC and poly styrene polymers more re sistant to heat. Or adding other desir able properties such as water solubility, strength, hardness, stiffness and grease resistance. And you can effec tively modify a polymer's melting point, surface activ ity, dielectric properties or water-swelling equilibrium. The degree to which you can modify polymers de pends largely on the ratio of the various comonomers.

And V-Pyrol is readily copolymerized with an al most unlimited number of comonomers—in virtually any proportions and under a wide variety of conditions. Send for literature and a sample: We've com piled a 24-page technical brochure on V-Pyrol which gives detailed information on copolymerizations with each of the above mono mers, discusses reaction ra tios vs. performance, and gives a summary of terpolymers and graft copolymers based on V-Pyrol. Also, the usual data on physical prop erties and availability. Just fill out and mail the coupon.
